Mentorship Program
Welcome to the wonderful world of STAR Physical Therapy! Our foundational mission is “To Serve.” STAR clinicians serve our patients daily with clinical excellence in our outpatient Physical Therapy Clinics. As a company, STAR also serves our clinicians with industry-leading support and education making STAR the “Clinicians’ place to practice.” We offer mentorship at many different levels:

- New Hire Mentorship
- New Director Mentorship
New Graduate Mentorship
Our Mentorship Program is designed to help new STAR clinicians grow professionally and have fun while doing it. All new graduates are matched with a one-on-one clinical mentor. These mentors will help guide and support the new clinicians to settle into patient care at STAR. The clinic mentor/director will meet with the new clinician monthly to help guide clinical decision-making.
Over a year, “Mentorees” will also come together for quarterly Mentorship workshops in their respective regional locations. New clinicians will get acquainted with their peers while discussing clinical pattern recognition, learning new treatment techniques, and reviewing relevant case studies. Master clinicians present interactive hands-on sessions immediately applicable to current patient loads. The meetings are non-sequential, so new clinicians may jump in as they come on board with STAR.
New Hire Mentorship
All new hires, regardless of experience, will go through a 3-6 month onboarding process with a regional leader and the dedicated guidance of their clinic director. This process will include mentorship to equip all new clinicians to be fully prepared to handle the daily duties surrounding the care we provide for patients.
New Director Mentorship
New director mentorship is a year-long program with a multi-faceted approach to learning in both a group session and a one-on-one mentor setting. All new directors will go through monthly training with their regional director to learn about leadership, human resources, compliance, operations, and marketing. Four quarterly meetings also take place that emphasize group discussion and shared decision-making. We want to ensure directors are fully equipped to be the best version of themselves as clinicians and leaders.
