Amy Morris, PT, DPT, COMT, OCS, FIT, graduated from the University of Alabama in 2000, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Biology. In 2003, she received her doctorate in physical therapy from Belmont University. Amy then returned to her hometown of Tullahoma, Tennessee, where she started her practice in outpatient orthopedics. Her practice focuses on the management of acute and chronic spinal conditions and targeting the sports medicine population as she works with local middle and high school athletes. Her post-graduate education has emphasized the manual orthopedic world, with Amy receiving her COMT in 2010, becoming board-certified in orthopedics in 2020, and receiving her fellowship in manual orthopedics in 2022.
Throughout her professional career at STAR Physical Therapy, Amy’s passion has led her into the educational arena. She has been instrumental in implementing a multi-faceted new graduate Mentorship Program and establishing an orthopedic residency program in conjunction with The Jackson Clinics. Amy is currently working on research to determine the impact of the nervous system on postoperative dosing and intervention for total knee arthroplasties.
